Les exportations indiennes de bananes se maintiennent grâce à la demande des marchés du Golfe à l'approche du Ramadan, explique Utsav Mevada d'Avinya International, qui exporte des bananes G9 Cavendish du Maharashtra et de l'Andhra Pradesh. L'Inde produit environ 33 à 34 millions de tonnes de bananes par an, soit près de 25 % de la production mondiale, mais les exportations représentent moins de 2 % de ce volume.
