Kurt Cobain's Legacy Has Impacted Hip-Hop For Generations

Kurt Cobain's Legacy Has Impacted Hip-Hop For Generations | Music as We Know It | Scoop.it
The spirit of Kurt Cobain lives on through hip-hop music. Kurt Donald Cobain never had it easy. A child of divorce, Cobain’s lifelong battles with chronic bronchitis, depression and an undiagnosed stomach illness were the gateways to a soul-sapping heroin addiction. Often portrayed as th

I really agree with this. Kurt has influenced so many rappers within the new emo rap genre.

In my opinion, this was an amazing article by Robert Blair on July 18, 2019. It is about how Kurt Cobain’s legacy is impacting hip hop for generations to come. This source is reliable as it has no dead links and it has a writer with the date it was written. This is a source of major informational resource for the audio industry of professionals as it talks about how Cobain’s music is living on through the hip hop scene.

I enjoyed this article, it shows that an artist and genre can have long lasting effects even on different music styles.

I think the source i credible and their own uses of references were useful in the article

I think this can be helpful with people in the music industry and show how other bands or groups can have an influence on each other.

This is defiantly meditation sounds. Which however is so futuristic. These distinct natural sounds are now needed for sure now and in the future.

This article originally from musically.com Written recently on March 21. Website musically.com site is up and very informative.

This article is a major source for an informational resource for audio and industry professionals in music writing producing and mixing.

Trey Butler's curator insight, July 27, 2019 12:21 AM
Interesting to read about this "mood-music" being an up and coming (seemingly) fad. I use Spotify for a lot of my music listening needs and finding new artists/music for my ever growing playlists. So I wonder how this actually will play into the habits of others.

The page was established in 2002, and has multiple social media accounts. There are other links to more reading to better delve into the topic.

Whether the source is a major informational resource for audio industry professionals
Being that the name of the site is musically.com, I feel like this could be a nice resource to use for music news and up and coming trends that may help in someone starting out in the industry.

Algorithms that create new music are a great idea. This service reminds me of an AI Instagram personality. Lil Miquela is a robot avatar and pop star, she is loosely based on a real person but her brand is predominantly marketed as an AI. This is very forward thinking for the creators of Lil Miquela. I think that 3-D avatars are the future and this article confirms that. If computers will eventually be able to create music then adding a unique animated character will further the illusion of sentience. Although there is no author listed for this article, I was able to quickly google the Spotify playlist listed for Endel. This at least proves the article’s accuracy making it fairly credible. Musically.com has a Twitter with 28.7k followers. I would not consider them to be a major informational resource.

“My dream has been, since before Spotify was invented, to be able to have a 24/7 ever-changing gamer-to-gamer musical experience. Hopefully we're getting there. “ I agree with this statement. Video games are becoming more and more interactive. Any video game that pushes the envelope when it comes to its musical experience is significantly ahead of the curve. I think that video games are evolving into becoming fully immersive virtual realities. Dave Gian is listed as the author for this article, his twitter is also linked to his bio. Muse by Clio has a verified account on Twitter, so I believe this is a credible source. Muse has less than 3000 followers on Twitter, I would not consider them a major informational resource.
Grayson Vincent's curator insight, April 26, 12:25 PM
This article is about Steve Schnur. He worked for MTV and later became a high ranking executive in EA. EA makes video games and his job was to add music in. He talks about how music could influence a gamer when playing. I think this is important because music has a big impact and can enhance a game's quality. This source has a reasonable following, but I believe would tend towards the smaller size of scale in the audio industry. This means that this site is unlikely to be used vastly, but has good aspects and design which would make it easy to be used as a source.
