WHITE HOUSE: Energy execs spend big at Trump hotel 'Disneyland' - E & E News

WHITE HOUSE: Energy execs spend big at Trump hotel 'Disneyland' - E & E News | Agents of Behemoth | Scoop.it

The Trump International Hotel rolled out the red carpet last summer for the two coal companies that have done the most to curry favor with the owner of the Washington, D.C., luxury destination: President Trump.

Occupy Hades's insight:

While taxpayers like you are struggling to pay their inflated tax bills, Donald Trump is raking in the cash from the lobbyists and executives who stay at his hotel. However, he isn't required to disclose how much he earns and he continually refuses to show anyone his tax returns. It doesn't seem fair, does it? No, it doesn't.

The Art of the (Self) Deal: Political and Taxpayer Spending at Trump’s Properties - CorporatePresidency.org | Agents of Behemoth | Scoop.it

Public Citizen has compiled all known records of political and federal taxpayer spending at Trump properties and businesses in the U.S.  We found that President Trump’s U.S. businesses have raked in $15.1 million in revenue from political groups as well as federal agencies during his campaign and presidency. About 90 percent of the spending, or $13.2 million, came from Trump’s own campaign.

Occupy Hades's insight:

This looks like a good reason to demand an audit of Donald Trump's tax records.

Maine paid for 40 rooms at Trump hotel for LePage, staff - PressHerald.com

Maine paid for 40 rooms at Trump hotel for LePage, staff - PressHerald.com | Agents of Behemoth | Scoop.it

MaineDocuments recently obtained by the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram show that the LePage administration paid anywhere from $362 to more than $1,100 a night for rooms at the luxury hotel during trips to meet with President Trump or his inner circle, attend White House events or talk to members of Congress. Receipts from those dozen trips also show the Republican governor or his administration spending hundreds of dollars on filet mignon or other expensive menu items at the restaurant in the Trump hotel. Those expenditures are likely to draw additional scrutiny from attorneys who have cited LePage’s previously disclosed stays at the D.C. hotel in a federal lawsuit alleging the president is improperly profiting from the business.
