The 2011 Trampoline World Championship British team selections are out!
The World Championships are held in Birmingham this year, and are the first round of qualifications to the 2012 Olympics. Performers must come in the top 8 to be able to be considered for the Olympic GB team.

British Gymnastics are looking for 45 avid fans/members to fill the seats of the gold season ticket area for the World Championships this November (17th - 20th). These seats are especially for those who want to cheer as loud as they can for our British team. You will be given BG items to help cheer on the team as well as look the part and you will also get the chance to meet and greet BG competitors!

GB ladies recorded their best result ever and finished 5th in the team event, qualifying for the 2012 Olympics. Unfortunately GB men were not as successful. However, there will be another chance to qualify at the 'Olympic test' in January.

I never knew that trampolining may have started from eskimos using walrus skins to throw each other in the air! How strange?!
But the first actual trampoline was invented in 1934 by George Nissen and Larry Griswold.

Do you live in London and have a spare room?
If you rent your room out during the olympic period you could be earning £53 a night! That could be a tidy sum of £848 if you were to rent for the whole 16 days.
