## Pythagoras Theorem

Mathematics involves a vast array for terminology, concepts, theories, laws, rules, and formulas.  To understand and retain knowledge of these new concepts it is imperitive to conceptualise and then rigorously practice these in your own time (homework).  These scoops provide all of the underpinning knowledge required as a foundation for year 9 Trigonometry.  Utilising these resources in your own time will allow you to practice these skills outside of the classroom, and then raise questions or queries with your teacher during class time.

## Sine, Cosine, Tangent

Using our knowledge of Pythagorus' theorum and the relationships between sine, cosine, and tangent, consider the following questons:

1. How can understanding the relationships between the sides and angles of a right angle triangle be useful to me in my future career or life?

2. What are some ways that I can use this knowldege to purchase a suitable interactive whiteboard or HDTV for the classroom, and then have it installed in an optimal location?  Identify the size of whiteboard or HDTV to be purchased and placement on the wall, considering for optimal viewing angles by all students from their desks.
