The ‘Billboard’ That Can Make Or Break Your Book's Success | Bestseller Labs

The ‘Billboard’ That Can Make Or Break Your Book's Success | Bestseller Labs | Writing Popular Fiction | Scoop.it

How to design an attractive book cover that will successfully sell your book in a book store or on Amazon."

People are visual, and naturally drawn to "eye candy." You need to keep this in mind when designing your book cover. Book covers are the "Billboards" of our books.

Think of it also as your "store entrance". Your readers may be scanning through hundreds of books on the Amazon marketplace. They scan the thumbnails (postage stamp size), and may click on your cover if it grabs their attention. Make sure your cover is a stand-out!

If you are not great at design, be sure to hire a professional cover designer. This decision could be the one that puts your book over the top.

Very good advice. A book cover is like a movie preview.
