Advancements in learning

with more universities being constructed many people were being educated. this would prove useful in advancing other technology. with more people learning how to read and write, more documents would be recorded. The advancements in learning would pay out in the long run. smarter people would help design better armor and wepons for the nation's armies. It would also help in balancing fianances and trade. Smarter people would bring a smarter nation.

Gregory VII

Gregory VII accomplished much in his regin. He reformed most of the church. But his poloicies aroused hatred and contempt. He eventualy was excommunicated. his goals were achieved, but with dire consenquences. Gregory searched for where the pope had gone, finaley Gregory found the pope in a castle in nortern Italy. He begged for forgiveness, and he was granted it. Gregory resumed power along side the pope.

The Bloody Crusades

The Bloody Crusades | World History Newspaper | Scoop.it

The first crusade was the only one that came close to accomplishing its goals. Christian knights retook jerusalem and slaughtered all of the jews and muslims in the town. Other crusades that followed divided the conquered lands into four crusaders states. Muslims sought to destroy these holy states, commencing more crusades.

Englands power?

At this point in time England had more power than any other nation. this was due to the fact that their goverment was already stable and William the Conqureror had taken power. The Pope backed england, which renforced their armies. while other countries scoured the dirt trying to build a base, England was off to more important matters. They strengthened their fianances and created new laws to keep the peace. their kingdom was united and trade was strong. With the pope at their side, England was ready to tackle the medevil world.
