The title character, Macbeth, suffered from insomnia and his wife, Lady Macbeth, suffered from sleepwalking. This article explains how people with insomnia often have anxiety, sadness and irritablility. Macbeth is haunted by his old friend whom he had ordered to be killed. This symbolized his guilty conscience.

    Whom every repeats the word of the scottish play "MacBeth" will be summoned with a curse.  You must lift the curse or serious consequences will occur, Such as death or illness of some sort.  Most of the deaths through out the centuries are caused by freak unexplained accidents.  to lift the curse you must run out of the theater, spin more than three times and scream "MACBETH"

A tragedy written by William Shakesphere. A scottish nobleman that hears by witches that he would become king and is tempted by evil. Shakesphere wrote MacBeth because he wanted to impress the king who believed that witches did exist and were sent to us by Satan. In Macbeth, Shakesphere includes three "weird sisters" into the plot as witches. The three weird sisters were ones to believe in black magic in the play.

The Opening Night performance of Bell Shakespeare’s Macbeth was cancelled due to severe illness amongst the company. The whole cast of Shakespeare's got food poisoning and spent days on bed rest. There were many people that perceived this as the curses of Macbeth; when it could just as well be food posining and just food posining and not the superstition "the curse of Macbeth".

There are multiple superstitions that have been passed down throughout the theatre and so many are linked to William Shakespeare's Macbeth. One superstition is that you are never to speak the name of "Macbeth" while in a theatre. So therefore it is often reffered to as "that scottish play," "the Glamis Play" or just "that play." If you do speak the unspeakable you are to go into a room, lock the door, spin around three times and say a dirty word or spit. Another option was to resite a quote from Hamlet act 1 scene 4 "Angels and ministers of grace defend us!"

This article lists 17 different unexplained events and deaths that took place as result of the play. Such as multiple off and on stage deaths of the casts, storms, and riots.
