Mr. Johannes Peter Huth serves as Chief Executive Officer of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. Ltd. Mr. Huth is Partner at KKR Management LLC, (GB). He serves as President KKR & Co SAS. In 1991, he joined InvestCorp and was jointly responsible for operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He started his professional career with Salomon Brothers Mergers and Acquisitions Group in 1986 and served as a Vice President.


Mr. Huth served as Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions Department at Citigroup CIB. He served as the Head of European Team at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. Mr. Huth joined KKR in 1999 as a Managing Director and was a Member, Head of KKR Europe, and Director of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. Ltd. and lead its European team. Mr. Huth was responsible for KKR’s operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and serves as President of KKR SAS. Mr. Huth handles the European operations.


He serves as the Chairman of Impetus - Private Equity Foundation. He serves as the Chairman of Supervisory Board at ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG. He has been Chairman of The Supervisory Board at Wuerttembergische Metallwarenfabrik AG since December 2012. He has been Vice Chairman of NXP Semiconductors NV since August 2010. He serves as Vice-Chairman of Supervisory Boards of NXP B.V. Mr. Huth served as Vice Chairman of Supervisory Board at NXP Semiconductors NV since September 29, 2006 and also served as its Member of Supervisory Board.


He served as Vice-Chairman of Supervisory Board and Member of Supervisory Board at NXP B.V since September 29, 2006. He served as Vice-Chairman of Supervisory Board and Member of Supervisory Board at Zumtobel AG until April 2006 and July 2009 respectively. He serves as Member of the Supervisory Board of BMG RIGHTS MANAGEMENT GmbH, Berlin; KION Group AG, Wiesbaden; and KION Holding 1 GmbH, Wiesbaden. He serves as Director of KKR & Co. Limited, London/England. He has been Member of Supervisory Board at Wuerttembergische Metallwarenfabrik AG since October 2012. He serves as a Member of the Advisory Board at Der Grune Punkt - Duales System Deutschland GmbH. Mr. Huth serves as a Member of the Advisory Board of Wild Flavors GmbH. He serves as a Member of the Supervisory Board of Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG) and Kion.


Mr. Huth serves as a Non Executive Director of SBS Broadcasting Holding I B.V. He has been a Member of Supervisory Board at Versatel AG since August 2011. He serves as Member of the Advisory Board and Member of the Supervisory Board at Der Grüne Punkt - Duales System Deutschland GmbH.


He serves as a Director of ATU, and Selenia. Mr. Huth served as Non-Executive Director of KCOM Group PLC. (formerly Kingston Communications PLC) since January 27, 2005. He served as a Director of SBS Broadcasting S.à.r.l. and Bank B.S.C. Mr. Huth served as Chairman of Supervisory Board at MTU Aero Engines AG & MTU Aero Engines Holding AG (formerly MTU Aero Engines GmbH) until January 31, 2008 and Wincor Nixdorf Aktiengesellschaft from 2000 to January 29, 2007.


He served as the Chairman of Private Equity Foundation. Mr. Huth served as Chairman of Supervisory Board at ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG. He served as the Chairman of Supervisory Board for KION Group AG from June 29, 2011 to September 2011 and serves as a Member of its Supervisory Board. Mr. Huth served as the Vice Chairman of Supervisory Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG since October 2008 and its Member of the Supervisory Board since March 2007.


He is a Trustee of the Design Museum, the Staedel Museum in Frankfurt and a governor of the London School of Economics. Mr. Huth received an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.S., with highest honors, in Economics from the London School of Economics.

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - (This story corrects spelling of Emily Weisburst's name in second paragraph) Women venture capitalists underperform their male counterparts by some 15 percent, according to a new Harvard University study, but the performance differences have narrowed over time and in firms that employ more than a single female venture partner. “We find that female venture capitalists significantly underperform their male colleagues,” wrote Paul Gompers, Vladimir Mukharlyamov and Yuhai Xuan of Harvard and Emily Weisburst of the University of Texas at Austin in their study, “Gender Effects in Venture Capital.”

George's previous experience includes seven years with Pantheon Ventures managing European private equity funds and companies.

 

A U.K. citizen, he was born in Canada and educated in the U.S. George received a BA in Finance from the University of Iowa in 1982.

 

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the EVCA, and is the EVCA's Chairman Elect for 2013.
