Wing Sail Technology : A wingsail is a form of marine propulsion similar to conventional sails. However, a wingsail is a built-up structure with airfoil cross-section, like an airplane wing, which shape can provide a much better lift-to-drag ratio than conventional sails.

Their experiments were not just about foils but also on Wingsail.Unfortunately it seems that the testing session ended by a crash of the catamaran. The SL33s are back on the water for a few days while the sailing crew does a little training and tests a few potentially good ideas. Then it’s back in the shed for the duration of the San Francisco America’s Cup World.
