From the prestigious and famous Verdicchio, to the Vernaccia di Serrapetrona, from the Offida Pecorino to the Offida Passerina. Also: Bianchello del Metauro, Colli Maceratesi, Colli Pesaresi, Esino, Falerio dei Colli Ascolani, I Terreni di Sanseverino, Lacrima di Morro d'Alba, Rosso Conero, Pergola, Rosso Piceno, San Ginesio Many of these wines are little known outside of Italy but visitors to the region have a pleasant surprise when they try the local wine produced by many small aziendas and cantinas.

Luigi Ghislieri, Cuvée del Presidente, Brut Metodo Classico Verdicchio Doc
Sparkling wine fermented in bottles according to the traditional method cultivated on hills (500/600 metres above sea level) in the communes of Cupramontana and Apiro (Marches Region)

  • Grape varieties Verdicchio (native) 
  • Colour right straw yellow, brilliant with very fine and persistent perlage 
  • Bouquet intense, elegant and typical 
  • Taste dry, warm, quite soft and fresh with good sapidity, full bodied and balanced 
  • Alcohol 12,5% vol.

The refinement in bottles comes about in the holding area of the ageing cellar. All of the working phases (Remoige, Degorgement) are carried out manually. The settlement period on the yeast is no less than 5 years from foam building. The grape harvest and the draw off period are indicated on the label
A good accompaniment for any meal, this wine is very good with seafood, shellfish and meat based starters, raw and cooked pork salted meat of any kind, first course pasta dishes with seafood or shellfish sauces, mixed fries cooked “all’italiana”, boiled fish, fish with a sauce, fried or oven cooked fish. Ideal with all types of shellfish.

Verdicchio, the most famous wine of the region Marche, extends its cultivation in the area of "Castelli di Jesi" and in particular in Cupramontana, which has always been one of the most important centers of wine production in the region. Cuprese, whose name means "From Cupra", was first produced in 1985 and it has been since one of the cornerstones of the Colonnara winery. Also famous for its longevity, you can appreciate its strenghts in old vintages dating back to early nineties.

  • Grape varieties Verdicchio (native)
  • Vinification manual grape-picking, vinification in steel at a controlled temperature and bottling during the spring subsequent to the harvest. Refinement in bottles for several years for certain particular vintages.
  • Colour bright straw yellow with greenish reflections when young, tending towards a golden colour with age
  • Bouquet intensely fruity and floral initial background, hints of complex final notes of flint stone
  • Taste good structure and balance with initial notes of freshness and final notes of pleasantly bitter sapidity
  • Pairing Seafood starters with a sauce, boiled fish or shellfish or fish cooked in a sauce, or roasted, pasta or rice with a white fish sauce or shellfish sauce, raw pork salted meat of any kind, mixed fried meat and vegetables “alla marchigiana”, medium matured cheeses.
  • Alcohol 13,5% vol.
