Bollywood is the name given to the Mumbai-based film industry in India. It is considered to be the largest in the world in terms of number of films produced. They are generally lively, energetic musicals. The dancing usually involves very strong and quick body movements, and large groups of dancers. The term Bollywood was created by conflating Bombay (the city now called Mumbai) and "Hollywood". Mumbai is a major centre for the production and editing of Indian films.

The licences of at least 14 pilots suspected of flying after submitting false paperwork have been revoked by aviation authorities. At least five pilots have been arrested by police in Delhi, while two others have been held by police in Rajasthan. Last month a government official was arrested in connection with the scam. Officials say that the licences of 3,000 to 4,000 pilots are being scrutinised by the DGCA. The government says that it is planning to create an online national registry of pilots - with an individual dossier on each one - to prevent pilots from fraudulently acquiring licences and jobs.

Each region of India be it North India, South India, West India or East India has different dress patterns and style. Indian cuisine is simply superb and lipsmacking. On the overall Indian cuisine can be termed as spicy and hot in flavor and taste.

One of India's most revered spiritual leaders, Satya Sai Baba, is in a critical condition, doctors say. The 84-year-old guru is thought to have millions of followers around the world. He professes to be the reincarnation of a Hindu godman --a human being who declares himself divine - from the 19th Century. A health bulletin issued by the hospital said that his condition had deteriorated and he is now on a ventilator and receiving kidney dialysis.
