The Central Okanagan Foundation makes the Building Sustainable Communities Conference possible, Thank You! | The Fresh Outlook Foundation's 5th Building Sustainable Communities Conference #5thBSC. | Scoop.it

The Central Okanagan Foundation is a "Community Foundation"; a trusted place where donors go to give and where charitable groups go for support in their endeavours.

Empowering Generations to Give we are YOUR community foundation. Today, tomorrow... FOREVER.

The Central Okanagan Foundation is first and foremost a "Community Foundation"; a trusted place where donors go to give and a place that charitable groups go for support in their valuable endeavors.

The Central Okanagan Foundation is about empowerment and relevance. We are synonymous with the handing down through generations of the actionable and fulfilling gift of giving.

This we believe to be the true definition of a legacy.

We are not about donations alone. Instead, our true power is in entrusting future generations to make a difference themselves to their community, relevant to their times and their community’s needs.

The Central Okanagan Foundation provides ongoing support to the charitable sector. We provide funding for charitable projects that benefit our community. We can only accomplish this with the financial support of our donors. Only you can help us make a difference.

As community foundations we are registered with the Canada Revenue Agency. As a tax-exempt public foundations we are publicly accountable for the funds we manage and can provide tax receipts for gifts received.

Pomegranate Center - Bringing people together to build better communities.

Pomegranate Center - Bringing people together to build better communities. | The Fresh Outlook Foundation's 5th Building Sustainable Communities Conference #5thBSC. | Scoop.it

Pomegranate Center helps communities prepare for the future.

We think every neighborhood deserves to be full of life and beauty. And every person should have the chance to feel connected to their neighbors and the place they live.

The future depends on our ability to work together to find the best solutions, to use resources wisely, and to learn to see our differences as gifts.

Our unique style of community-building combines a creative approach with effective community planning, broad public participation, hands-on learning and leadership development.

When we work together to strengthen our communities everyone wins — the economy grows, health improves, resources are better used, crime goes down, and people are happier.

On Day 1 at the 5th BSC,  Milenko Metanovic of the Pomegranate Centre speaks at 9:30am.
