The American Dream

Noun

The ideals of freedom, equality, and opportunity traditionally held to be available to every American.   To some this is the true American Dream, and I would have to agree for the most part. but at the same time, it is so much more then just that. It is what you inspire to be in life, and what type of person you wish to become. To me, "My" American Dream is to live in Chicago and performing with the comedy group The Second City, but that is just the beginning. Concluding that i want to move even further into my comedy career. I want to audition for the the New York based televison show "Saturday Night Live" and of course make it. Thats about the minimum of my version of the American Dream. If I were to coninue further, i would become a movie star, maybe and album deal or two and be able to give my child anything he/she would want. Yes I know that a little out there, but that is why it is called the American DREAM, because anything is possible in a dream. That is what i believe the American Dream really is, and to you, it might be a totally different scenario, or it culd be the same. That the great thing about America though, you can be anything you want to be.
