Those seven points are strategic,  let take look. Foundation is based on what customer really needs and what marketing needs , understand attitude  and expectation from customer and marketing  Keep a close watch on competitor’s activities.  The Corporate Culture is based on marketers to remember  the same before designing products and services. Brand Focus is based on brands. Each brand has its own reprehensive , each brand has its own logo. Consumer Experience is based on customer thought. Marketer needs to realise what customer like or dislike, also pay attention about what is customer’s feedback.  Communication tool is  based on different media tools include various modes of promoting a particular brand such as advertising, direct selling, promoting through social media such as facebook, twitter, orkut and so on. Promotional Tools are based on through a lot of promotional tools, organisations need to keep good relationship with customers and external clients. Integration Tools are based on following customer service. After selling a product  is not finished, the more important thing to do is to follow up customer , see if there any problems out there while customer experiencing the product you sold. When you follow customer, not only fix problems, but also give guarantee to customer to reduce the bad expression that the fixed product  brought.

This article just generally introduce what components brand communication and IMC have.Actually, we need further information to discuss what they mean to us. For example, in my point of view, "the fundation stage" probably is the most important among the process of IMC. demand and supply are the two key elements within the word "market" anyway, author need more information to support his or her statemnt.

IMC is defined as stratefic business process used to plan, manage and image of company's product or customer service which aimed at a customers or specific target group is in accordance with their needs as well as consistence in its delivery and impact.

there are three concepts of IMC which mainly used to develop business. Firstly, to base on customers. To achieve this point, business needs to research how to keep customers and keep regular customers. What is more, business should establish "one to one " interaction activitie which helps business to know deeply and understand what customer needs and wants. Secondly,  IMC should help to planning and implementation of ideas, products and services to the image of the build process, pricing, promotion and distribution strategy to realize the goal of satisfy individual and organizational, exchange.  

last point is that Is the concept of integration, companies used to using the single means of advertising to promote the sale of products, but we have today in the modern era of information society, means the spread of more and more now, also began to spread itself differentiation and combination, and this requires enterprises in the process of marketing communication, integrate with a variety of carrier, to the spread of the most effective influence.

This article is very clear to describe the definition of IMC, how to use IMC and who uses IMC. It is goal is to make all aspects of marketing communication such as advertising, sales promotion, public relations, direct marketing, personal selling, online communications and social media work together as a unified force, rather than permitting each to work in isolation, which in turn maximizes their cost effectiveness. Yes, I am agreeing with those main points. Especially those five major shifts, they are really typical.

I like the figure of speech that "The IMC planning process has been compared to composing a musical score." All different instruments play together to make a piece of beautiful music. And same as IMC, which needs advertising, social media and public relationship to complete.

As time goes by, more and more institutions want to manage successful commination and a strategic plan. IMC includes all most advertising tools to make sure that they all can succeed. IMC is actually exactly based on customer centric.  When it comes to design for IMC is around three realistic points,  many organisations are not able to use these points properly  , but marketing team should understand what are three points including.

First Markets are fragmented :  A very useful and effective integrated marketing communication plan should not change something which can change customers. It should meet  those customers where are they are — at different times, through different means, and with different tools and styles.

Media is constantly changing :  A solid IMC should be able to understand and analysis the different media that bring different news.  Make sure that no matter what bed news  are not any obstruction for products.

Customers are savvier than ever before:  A attractive IMC plan is not only based on simple or complex advertising or activities, it should update all the time and search the newest news, develop different  product to attract customers.

The same scoop with Benny! They are good points but as far as I am concerned, it is much easier to put forward these points than really pay effort to put them into practice. Just like we know we need to know all of our potential customers but we have to do lots of research to reach it.
