After being silenced the newness of speaking up for ones self is a work in progress which denial with the added stigma's of what has taken place which creates shame and pride as result often times the individual silenced is more of an help to the silencer because their pride refuse to admit they have been harmed for fear of the stigma and added the silencing took their power.
