I know sleep is important and I value its importance, but I don't know if I am getting enough of it! According to the article, many people measure how much they sleep by measuring the amount of time between the moment they get in bed and the moment they wake up the next morning. However, many of them do not account for the time it takes for them to fall asleep or any time during the night they wake up. While these times are considered resting times, they do not conribute to sleeping time. In the morning I am usually able to get up quickly and start my day without too much lethargic behavior, so I feel like I am getting enough sleep. I should make sure I have a consistent sleep schedule, though, because one rough night can throw me off for a number of days! Sleep is important, and I should try my absolute best to make sure I get enough of it.

Sleeping keeps proving itself to be an amazing activity! While I am dreaming of sugar plum fairies, my ability to learn and memorize what I have learned is improving. When one sleeps after learning something new, they are able to process what they learned and retain the new information better. I always wondered why I felt more prepared for a test after I pass out from cramming at the last minute! I guess I owe sleep a  big "thank you" for saving my procrastinating self from a bad report card :)

I consider myself a creative person, mostly when I play music. When I saw that sleeping can boost creativity, I almost went to bed right away, but I decided to stay up a little longer to write this response. Sleeping allows the brain to remember, and restructure, retained information, allowing for a more creative mind! I have always loved sleeping with a deep passion, and now I can use my passion for sleep to aid my passion for music!
