EU finance chief says rich tax avoiders are 'vampires'

EU finance chief says rich tax avoiders are 'vampires' | Welfare, Disability, Politics and People's Right's | Scoop.it
The European Union’s finance chief has slammed wealthy “vampires” who use tax avoidance schemes of the kind detailed in the Paradise Papers. Pierre Moscovici said that many of the schemes revealed in the latest leak about offshore tax avoidance were “legal” and that meant that the law should be changed. Chancellor, keep a million children out of poverty. Fix universal credit | Debbie Abrahams

Chancellor, keep a million children out of poverty. Fix universal credit | Debbie Abrahams | Welfare, Disability, Politics and People's Right's | Scoop.it
This is how Philip Hammond’s budget can help the working poor, writes Debbie Abrahams, the shadow work and pensions secretary
britishroses's insight:
UC does not make work pay, it pushes people into poverty and debt, will harm those most in need of help and support and deprive one to many children at Christmas! If UC is to work and transform benefits for the better the money taken out of it has got to be put back in and there should be no more than a weeks wait before receiving the financial support needed and relied upon. There's one to many problems with the program that need to be fixed before rolling it out anymore, ignore the warnings at your own peril!
