Professionell präsentieren - Der Körper redet

Professionell präsentieren - Der Körper redet | Weiterbildung | Scoop.it

Slide Design: How Simple is Too Simple?

Slide Design: How Simple is Too Simple? | Weiterbildung | Scoop.it

All of the books, all of the blogs, all of the top Slideshare presentations on slide design make this common plea: simplify.  But how simple is too simple?

I had this conversation with a non-training colleague of mine a while back.  “Yes, watching someone read off of their text-heavy, bullet-pointed PowerPoint slides is a waste of time,” he told me.  “But so are these artistic slides that replace all words with pictures and images. I don’t want to have to work that hard to interpret what you’re trying to represent on your slides.”

Überzeugend sprechen - Pimp Your Voice

Überzeugend sprechen - Pimp Your Voice | Weiterbildung | Scoop.it

Anything but PowerPoint: 5 Fresh Presentation Alternatives

Anything but PowerPoint: 5 Fresh Presentation Alternatives | Weiterbildung | Scoop.it

What application springs to mind when you think of creating visual aids to accompany your business presentation? For most people, it’s Microsoft’s PowerPoint. But that’s certainly not the only game in town. Plenty of other tools and services are cooler, faster, easier to use, and—in almost all cases—less expensive.

We’ve rounded up five compelling alternatives to PowerPoint, including Web apps that let you dispense with installing software, and mobile apps that allow for presentation-building (and presenting) on the go. Not included are well-known options such as Google Docs, OpenOffice, and Zoho Show, all of which offer basic slide-builders that can easily pinch-hit for PowerPoint and don’t cost a dime. Those tools, however, haven’t changed much in recent years.
