This scoop presents web design trends in 2012 and what can be in 2013. It is difficult to make predictions of the trends for 2018 onwards but nonetheless I can see the old-fashioned navigation toolbar put to rest.

Like the scoop says, "we are seeing very sophisticated navigations — main menus are being reduced, sometimes disappearing completely or sliding behind screen edges." Five years time, I can see all websites using sophisticated graphical navigations, with the toolbar slowly fading away.

The Swiss design has taken the web design world by storm with the introduction of Windows 8. So with that, I believe that many other platforms, software and even websites will adopt this graphic design style.

Other predictions see that Flash will completely become redundant and screen resolutions will continue to grow with mobile devices and tablets.
