17 Panoramic Picture Fails That Are the Perfect Mix of Funny and Weird | 22 Words

17 Panoramic Picture Fails That Are the Perfect Mix of Funny and Weird | 22 Words | wealth business & social media | Scoop.it

It's been about five years since smartphones first gave users the opportunity to capture larger-than-life panoramas on their phones by slowly turning them from left to right. The technology's gotten better since then, but it's still not perfect. Neither, for that matter, are the people using it, so oftentimes your gorgeous landscape looks more like, well...these. As you'll see, the panorama feature can REALLY distort the way moving animals look. So, is this a cat, or is this some sort of horrific monster from the dark beyond, slithering up from the depths to steal your soul?

"Tell me where I can find this doctor Sonnenblume?" | wealth business & social media | Scoop.it
The Story
“I have been away for eons, stuck at the bloody Seven Stars Of Ohogli and you still haven’t found, let alone capture this...this monster, this doctor Sonnenblume ?!?” Monis Emulbnennos. yelled at this staff.
Monis ranted on while his staff was very interested in their own nails or their shoes. They did not dare to look Monis into the eye, since they knew Monis hated eye contact. “Where is Bounty Hunter when you need him? Oh, don’t tell me he is still chasing that silly rabbit ! Bring me the Ghost Whisperer!” Everyone in Monis’s staff swallowed hard, yet nobody moved. “Now!” screamed Monis with the sounds of nails scratching over a black board and the staff rushed out of Monis’s office at this head quarters. The staff was relieved that they could leave, but not eager to make contact with the Ghost Whisperer.

Ghost Whisperer was only briefed shortly about what he could expect when he arrived at Pine Lake.
Unfamiliar technology, talking animals and even magic were only a few to mention. Ghost Whisperer could not care less, he has seen it all once before so he thought.
When Ghost Whisperer arrived he wasted valuable time by interrogating a voice controlled vendor machine.

4 Ways to Use Psychology in Your Social Media Marketing

4 Ways to Use Psychology in Your Social Media Marketing | wealth business & social media | Scoop.it
Just like society at large, social networks are a space where individuals tend to act in particular, more or less clearly defined ways. The predictable nature of their behavior makes people susceptible to influence of others, and sometimes the desired action we are goaded to take is paying attention to specific brands. This insight lies in the core of every marketing strategy ever developed, including those which are used online on social networks. All marketing uses psychology in one way or another. Therefore, social media marketing relies on understanding the psychology of social media users in order to promote services, products and the brands that lie behind them.

When Kids Say Thanks, by Giacomo Bono | DailyGood

When Kids Say Thanks, by Giacomo Bono | DailyGood | wealth business & social media | Scoop.it
When a child shows or feels gratitude, how does it affect other areas of his or her life over time? How best could we bring this practice into schools? What techniques in which settings produce the best results? Inspired by an act of kindness received while recovering from a childhood illness, Giacomo Bono has been studying the answers to these questions and more, adding to a growing body of research on the science of gratitude. While they're a few years away from definitive conclusions, one study linked expressions of gratitude with an increase in prosocial behavior, satisfaction with life, hope, and search for purpose, and less antisocial behavior and depression. Another study suggested gratitude was responsible for an increase in achievement, grit, positive social conduct, relationships with peers and teachers, and school satisfaction. In this interesting article, a closer look at the studies so far.

"Life is a journey, not a destination." Ralph Waldo Emerson

Focus On The Present

How does a suitcase manufacturer inspire us to use their products? Do they describe how lightweight and nimble it is when you are rushing through an airport? Perhaps they do just that more often than not. How would you inspire people to think of you and your products as more than a box on wheels?

Well, you could tell us a story. A story about how the suitcases we choose are occasionally co-star in the adventures of the people you and I.

This post includes a visual story. The story of a young man, his work life, a suitcase and much much more.

I liked this short film because I have been known to enjoy the occasional foreign film.  So yes,  I am accustomed to using my highschool Spanish or French and more often than not quickly reading the English subtitles. When you watch this video you will quickly learn the lines in this film are spoke in French, and there are no subtitles.

The visual storytelling artist who put this short film together do not require us to need subtitles of the ability to understand  the lines spoken in French. The power of visual storytelling comes from how well they breath human emotion into the images of the characters telling the story on screen.  Oh and there is music, audio as background driving each scene forward or telling you to relax and dwell on this scene for a moment. Music plays a complementary and supportive role to the images moving on the screen.

Humans are wired for story and that is why we only need the images of people, close ups of their facial expressions and melancholy music to shift our mood and the characters on screen shift theirs. Humans are wired for story and we know instinctively  what the storyteller wants us think and feel.

What do you think?

Did you find it entertaining?

Did you feel your self moved by the story as the storyteller allowed emotions to wash over the scenes?

Let me know what you thought and felt in the comments.

Using Content Marketing To Secure Loyal Customers

Using Content Marketing To Secure Loyal Customers | wealth business & social media | Scoop.it
What do you do to help your business grow and improve? When you run a business you need to think about a wide range of factors, from creating clear marketing strategies to trying to attract new customers and all these elements are focused on ensuring that your business is always growing and improving. But the most important thing that you should be doing is paying attention to your loyal customers. Loyal customers tend to have a stronger impact on your business than new customers do. In fact, it can cost 5 times as much to attract a new customer as it does to retain a loyal customer, and the latter are more likely to make repeat purchases. Another study, by Bain and Co., found that increasing customer retention rates by a mere 5% resulted in increased profits of 25% to 95%.
