So sit back, put away your tricorders, load you engines with dilithium crystals and enjoy some recent research that has gone into warp drive science. No star streaks and psychadellic colors?

Annika TImmerman's insight:

This talks about star-trek movie and, not really anything about warp speed but if you wanna know about star-trek into darkness then read this.

Space, Utopia's Final Frontier

Space, Utopia's Final Frontier | Warp Speed | Scoop.it
The colonization of Earth's orbit, the Moon, Mars, and other planets still promises a kind of space utopia for Homo sapiens. Since the second half of the 20th century, more and more concepts have imagined how it could be possible for humans to live in permanent habitats beyond our planet. Hubble stretches stellar tape measure 10 times farther into space | Astronomy.com

Hubble stretches stellar tape measure 10 times farther into space | Astronomy.com | Warp Speed | Scoop.it
Astronomers have improved the Hubble Space Telescope’s observing accuracy to the point where measurements can be made to Milky Way stars 10 times farther away than ever accomplished before.
Annika TImmerman's insight:

This article is interesting because scientists have figured out new ways to use the Hubble telescope. This article explains that scientists can now make accurate measurements to stars that are 10 times further than could be measured previously.  The increased ability to measure starts accurately from much further away may also lead to more knowledge of dark matter and the big bang.
