The main focus of the article is the relatioship between the East Indies and Curtin government which marks the 20th anniversary of the bombing of Broome, however is does mention the bombing of Pearl Habour, Fall of Singapore and bombing of Broome and Wyndham.

Between February 1942 and November 1943, during the Pacific War, the Australian mainland, domestic airspace, offshore islands and coastal shipping were attacked at least 97 times by aircraft from the Imperial Japanese Navy and Imperial Japanese Army Air Force.
