This ppt presentation by David Conley outlines types of goals and readiness, and presents a visual of his framework of "four keys" to college/career readiness (slide 8). The framework, which is discussed in greater detail in some of the other uploads on this site, includes Content Knowledge, Cognitive Strategies, Learning Skills/Techniques, and Transition Knowledge & Skills. I think the latter 3 of these overlap with "Habits and Dispositions." This work represents a synthesis of other research on what students need to be prepared for college.
