Rediscovering India, a clarion call to those who love the place to step forward and make a difference- Giving something back to the community

India is the land of my birth but as Mark Twain said in 1897 “This is indeed India! The land of dreams and romance, of fabulous wealth and fabulous poverty, of splendour and rags, of palaces and hovels, of genii and giants and Aladdin lamps, of tigers, and elephants and peacocks… a hundred nations and hundred tongues, of a thousand religions and two million gods, cradle of the human race…’ I can tell you Mark nothing has changed in a 115 years, it is still the very same place a fine example of human resilience in the face of colossal adversity. With 630 million people living on less than $2 a day if anything the gap between the rich and the poor have widened from quite possibly 1:15 to more than 1:115. In this age of networked intelligence where India is meant to be star player, India needs active citizens to orchestrate change through collaborative sharing, technology disruption and whatever else you can throw at it. So here is the challenge. Step forward the rainmakers and show your moneymaker :-) Please share your views and share this with your friends

Marketers alienating consumers with 'irritating' social media behaviour - Computer Business Review (blog)

Marketers alienating consumers with 'irritating' social media behaviour - Computer Business Review (blog) | Visually Social | Scoop.it

I would have thought social media offered the greatest opportunity for Peer to Peer engagement, what about you? Marketers who are yet to wake to P2P produce irritating content that fails to inspire action. A lesson in Footy or Basket ball may help understand the concept. In P2P I thnk it is all about playing to inspire and to impress a following. For this leadership, generosity and referral of opportunities are the building blocks for success. So whenever you pass the ball on in P2P remember the LGR rule - L- leadership, G-Generosity, R - Referral. Just so that it is easy for marketers to engage without thinking too much about content and engament, Valyu's (www.valyu.com) triple loyal (www.llloyal.com) offers you a ready made solution. Glue your whole website to your customers' socia media profile (cleverly and unobtrusively) and offer a special discount to your customers fans and followers that they cannot normally get from your main website. Thereby making them feel special through LGR, your customers will easily volunteer to be your bill board of offers for their friends. Valyu doesn't stop short of this, it gives you your own TV and video content channel so that you can draw-in those you have succeeded in  engaging deeper into your company's story. Valyu are now offering 'suck it and see' to seasoned or even novice marketers, saying why not make a token payment to start off, issue Valyu profiles to your customers, engage, entertain and reap benefits and pay for the service only if you have succeded in achieving 3 digit growth. That can't be bad. Why not give them a try?
