Taryn Coxall's insight:

"Tour The World" is a extremely fun and engaging music video designed to teach dtudents about different countries around the world. The video includes an upbeat and fun song that students will relate well to as well as some fun and clever map visuals to go along with the song.

There are alot of videos such as these aruond, most 'old school' type ones that use old music, boring visuals and leave students feeling bored and un-engaged. Videos such as thes are perfecgt for students in all primary school years as they offer modern technology and sounds that students like and hear in modern day music today.

i still remember from my lower level priamary years the timetables song, so i would deifently incorperate this fun video into my classroom, something that helps students remember various countires around the world and hopefully can stick with students for life.

Hey, little ant

Taryn Coxall's insight:

"Hey Little Ant" is a video i saw used in my placement primary school, it is a great story for all age levels as a resource for pursauasive writing.
Students can take sides of either the boy or the ant and use this in their pursuasive writing.
I find that using a video rather than a book in this case is more engaging for the students

this video/book can beused to raise issues such as morals and bing in different cultures. for example, Buddhism, who would belive the ant is a living creature and should not be killed compared to other religions which may find an ant insignificant and would squash it easily. Although these are large and importnat topics for student to be learning about at a young age giving them the information and insight through an easily accessible cartoon aloows students to basically  understand these importnant topics and begin to form their own opinions.

Taryn Coxall's insight:

"Love is All You Need" is a fantastic resourse to show students in upper primary. The short film foccuses on a world where being "gay" is the normal and being "straight" is the minority.

By showing us the reverse, this resource gives us great insight into the major problems we have with "homophoibcs" in society today. The video pushes us to see how we would feel if we were in these individuals shoes who go through real life issues that are increasingly evident in young adultstoday, such as bullying, self harm and even suicide.

Although confronting, i believe this video would be highly benefical to show an upper primary school classroom and would help decrease prejudice amongst students.

It is increasigly evident in todays media that there is a large struggle with gay marigge inpolitics, this video helps us take a step back and undersatnd that these are real human issues that affect millions of people every day.
