Partying in Vegas

Partying in Vegas | Las Vegas Nightlife and Entertainment | Scoop.it

Your plane lands on a warm Summer Friday at about 11am. You just arrived from New York City and you are in town to celebrate your best friends Bachelor Party. The plan is for you all to meet at the Bellagio around 2pm and get ready for a weekend that will surely go down in history. While you are waiting for the rest of your group to arrive, you start to look around at places you want to go throughout the weekend. Nightclubs. Bars. Of course, you're going to want to hit a strip club or two as well. Wait a second... this is going to cost a lot of money. You decide to wait and see what the rest of the guys think and the general feeling is that it would be awesome to do all of those things. But you don't want to spend all of that money. Then, out of nowhere, much like Oprah's enthusiasm about giving away cars, your buddy says, "Well what about the Vegas V Card?" You stare at him, confused. "What the hell is the V Card? Isn't that what you lose when you..." "No no no! This is an all access VIP pass to some of the best nightclubs, pools, bars and strip clubs in Vegas!" You're stunned. It sounds too good to be true. This would make the entire weekend possible for everyone and you'll still have money left over for even better drinks and food. After doing some research you find out that you can get VIP admission into all the places you want to go. Suits on. Limo's booked. You guys are ready to rock. You climb out of the limo at your first club and walk through the door into a sea of people. A celebratory toast is made and the night is underway....

You wake up with the sun in your face and the sound of a knock at the door. Where the hell am I? You look around and see all of your buddies laid out across the floor and the beds. After realizing that you are safely in your hotel room, you relax. Still confused you answer the door to find hotel management handing you what appears to be your digital camera. "You left this in the hallway sir..." The rest of your buddies are still passed out on the floor and here you are standing at the door in what can only be described as man-panties. It is not a pleasant scene. As you look through the pictures you begin to piece together how awesome the night actually was. Hyde, LAX, TAO and... are those strippers from Little Darlings? Wow. What a trip. One by one your friends wake up and you begin to recall tales from the night before. It is during this conversation you realize... that was only night number 1.

DJ Shift Is Out To Change Vegas

DJ Shift Is Out To Change Vegas | Las Vegas Nightlife and Entertainment | Scoop.it
The music scene in Las Vegas is constantly changing. There are always new DJ's looking to make a splash and get their names out there. Most of them come from out of town and are lured by the glitz, the lights and the exposure an international Vegas audience brings. A lot of the time they start of in their hometown and eventually make it to the big stage. What if Vegas was your hometown? How would you separate yourself from the crowd? That was the big question for local spinner, Justin "DJ Shift" Bueltel. And he sure answered it in a big way.

DJ Shift gets his name for the change he hopes to bring to each venue he performs in. His unique personal style makes him stand out among his peers. Shift grew up in the hustle and bustle of the entertainment capital of the world. Much like his fellow disc spinners, music was a central theme for him growing up. This strong interest evolved into one of the most notable careers of any local DJ. Rather then having to make a big change coming into the world of Vegas entertainment, Shift was able to build a name for himself being surrounded by it.

As he developed his skills he was heavily influenced by the likes of Bad Religion, AFI, DJ Vice, DJ Five, Fabricant, Hollywood, and David Christian. It was this diverse mix of artists that led him to create a 'fresh' and unique sound that he believes keeps people on the dancefloor and shifts the conventions of club music.

More and more people began to recognize his talents his popularity began to sore. It got to the point where in 2009 he was awarded "Biggest Following" in Las Vegas. That same year, he became the resident DJ at REHAB in the Hard Rock Hotel. He has also gotten residencies at Wet Republic located in the MGM Grand Hotel as well as, Pure nightclub in Ceasars Palace. His local notoriety got the attention of local awards groups which gave him "Best Pool DJ" and "Main Room DJ" for 2012.

With all of the residencies he has going on it may be hard to believe that he still has time to visit other nightlife locations around the country such as Miami, LA and New York bringing his Vegas roots to some of the hottest nightclubs in the States. His fanbase seems to grow wherever he goes, and his dedication and love to his music is something that needs to be heard to be fully appreciated.

Vegas Welcomes DJ E-Rock

Vegas Welcomes DJ E-Rock | Las Vegas Nightlife and Entertainment | Scoop.it

What started as way to stay out of trouble as a young kid, quickly turned into one of the most successful careers imaginable. San Francisco's Eric Nagrampa (DJ E-Rock) has conquered much more than just the DJ world. His story is just as unique as the music he creates.

It began at age 11 when E-Rock made some friends at the pool. One of the boys was his age so they hung out and played video games a lot. The two older kids would be working on their DJing and eventually Eric started watching them more and more. His visits turned from video games to music and the rest was history. What followed was a gift from his father, a "rinky-dink mixer from Radio Shack" and the experience of working parties at age 13. After a while he started to meet some local nightlife gurus and broke into the San Fran nightclub scene. Radio stations took notice and eventually he joined a local crew where he got used to the 'open format' of radio.

E-Rock began to transition back into the club scene and became an entertainment promoter for some of the local hotspots. He soon came up with the idea to open his own club. 'Infusion' was born in downtown San Francisco and has recently been named one of the top 35 nightclubs in the world. His local stardom did not stop there, he then became the resident DJ for his favorite local baseball team, The San Francisco Giants. Lending his unique sound to a majority of their home games has been another dream come true for E-Rock.

It was only a matter of time before E-Rock looked to branch out even further. Being one of the premier places for any DJ to make a name for themselves, Las Vegas was the logical next step. International audiences and some of the top DJ's in the world, DJ E-Rock quickly found his place at some of the hottest clubs in town. He currently has residency at Haze inside the Aria Hotel and Casino and jetsets back to San Fran during the week. With gigs all across the country and regular performances in Vegas on the weekend, DJ E-Rock is living the life he had always dreamed of. Even at age 29 he is still finding things that he loves about the business. Creating new and exciting mixes, seeing the excitement from the crowds and just making people happy.

By age 12 he had found his love. Spinning records became his obsession. He got his start spinning records for a local LA radio station in 1998. At the time there was a revival of the nightclub scene in Las Vegas. Brand new, super exclusive venues began to pop up and it seemed like a great opportunity to expose a whole new audience to his music. Hong Kong, London and Germany just to name a few places. He currently has a residency at TAO and hosts his own 'Vice Sundays' at the new, ultra VIP club, LAVO.

Vice has taken the club scene by storm. He now looks to make his mark in the world of Nike. He opened the flagship store in California and his newest one is inside the Cosmopolitan right here in Las Vegas. His branching out includes the music world as well. For the longest time, Vice made crowds roar with his unique mix of today's hottest music. He now looks to expand his musical resume by stepping into the world of producing his own track and helping to do that with other artists as well. He has begun this process by spending some time in the studio with Timbaland and Lady Gaga, among others. He has helped them create songs that they all felt would rock the clubs.

Between DJ'ing all over the country, residencies in Las Vegas and a successful retail endeavor DJ Vice shows no signs of slowing down. He hopes to put out more original music in the coming months and collaborate with more artists to create fresh mixes for an ever growing audience. His passion for his work is evident in the energy he provides for every room he enters. DJ Vice will continue to push the envelope and keep audiences dancing for years to come.

Marc and Allister Blackham also known as the “EC-Twins”, started out their prolific rise in the town of Manchester, UK. There they were both introduced into the club world at age 16, starting from the bottom as flyer boys and slowly working their way up. In time they ended up running their own club in Manchester, quickly becoming UK legends for consistently hosting the biggest parties at their first venue, of which they are respectively nick-named after ( Eye Candy, i.e. EC Twins). Natural born Vegas stars, one of the major residencies under their belts is at the “Marquee Las Vegas”. Not known to be a venue for small timers, they have taken the route of other mega DJ’s to make Vegas a regular stop on their adventures of global domination .As well as never shirking from an EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival) performance they have put on some of their most memorable shows behind the gates of the popular world famous festival. V Card Blog » DJ Steve Walker | Las Vegas Nightlife and Entertainment | Scoop.it

DJ Steve Walker has been fascinated with sound since a very early age. Melodies and rhythms, theme music from TV shows played a big part in his early developments as a music lover. He even took a liking to using pots and pans in the kitchen as drums. It was clear that music was going to become his life’s passion.

Being raised in Greece, Steve was surrounded by all sorts of different sounds. It was not the typical place you would think of a Las Vegas DJ to be raised. It were these sounds that lead him to develop into a highly trained jazz drummer at the early age of seven. As he got older he took these sounds and blended them together with all the other music he had absorbed throughout the years and started DJ’ing to local crowds at the age of 16. It wasn’t before long that international opportunities started opening up and he found himself DJ’ing at some of the most exclusive clubs in New York City.

It has been 11 years since he started in the world of music and has become one of the most unique DJ’s that Vegas has seen. He provides three elements to his performances that make his work so recognizable: artistry with personal expression, composition with originality  and his love of drumming. It is the drumming aspect that is the most interesting as it brings in something completely different to the music than your standard beats. Since returning to the States, Walker has evolved as a musician and as an entertainer; bringing in elements from jazz, hip-hop, 90′s music as well as sounds from Greece to create a truly memorable club-going experience.

He currently is developing a record label that will feature some of the most musically talented artists and DJ’s in the world. When he is not spinning at local clubs here in Vegas, he finds himself traveling around the world promoting his label, sharing his music and discovering new and exciting sounds.

If you would like to hear more from Steve Walker as well as many other incredible DJ’s, you can see many of them when they perform at some of the hottest clubs in Vegas by picking up the V Card. This one card will give you VIP access to the best nightclubs in Las Vegas. No lines. No cover charge. Just the best of Vegas nightlife for one low price.

The Rise of DJ Mike Attack

The Rise of DJ Mike Attack | Las Vegas Nightlife and Entertainment | Scoop.it

Like most of his fellow Vegas DJ's, Mike Mohammednur aka DJ M!ike Attack has been fascinated by the world of music since a very young age. He started throwing his own parties just to give himself the chance to DJ and now has multiple residencies around Las Vegas.

When he was in seventh grade a few friends got together and they began creating their own mixtapes. The spark of interest was ignited further in 2003 when he purchased his first set of turntables and he hasn't looked back. Taking cues from DJ Mix Master Mike and DJ Jazzy Jeff, he set out to create a unique sound and give people a memorable party experience. Armed with extensive knowledge of lighting and sound, the atmosphere that he creates with each party he plays is always different. One night he got a call from a good friend asking to cover for him at local hotspot, Beauty Bar. It was here that Mike Attack had his first chance to spin in front of a Vegas crowd. This was the first time that any DJ had brought together inde rock and electro remixes. The response was so overwhelming that the manager offered him a residency on the spot. Word of Mike Attack's arrival spread like wildfire and he began to gain a massive following among the downtown hipster crowd.

Since being dubbed the Pide Piper of DJ's Mike Attack has helped revitalize several different parties that have moved to new homes. He has played a key role in bringing back Shake'n'Pop Fridays at Artisan, which now sees a capacity crowd nearly every week. His crowning achievement thus far (aside from his current residency at Moon inside the Palms) was leading his massive following to the famous Snitch Wednesdays at Ghostbar. It is the biggest 'hipster party' that can be found at an upscale mega-club. This is part of what Mike Attack wants to do, he wants to take the hipster parties out of the dive places and bring them to the more upscale clubs.

DJ Mike Attack has one of the most recognizable looks in Las Vegas. His following is always increasing and he is constantly trying to re-invent himself. You can catch him every Friday night inside Moon Nightclub and at several other local clubs during the week. The best way to see Mike Attack, as well as other Vegas DJ's is of course, with the V Card. It gives you access to all the hottest nightclubs, dayclubs and bars on the Strip.

Please Welcome, DJ Gusto

Please Welcome, DJ Gusto | Las Vegas Nightlife and Entertainment | Scoop.it

With all of the different musical style that are available to consumers today, it can become a very diverse cornucopia of sound. Rock, pop, hip hop, dance, and electronic, just to name a few. Most DJs tend to stick to one style, take elements of that style and create their own sound. One mark of a very good DJ is not only to do that, but to transcend musical genres and blend them all together. This is nothing new for DJ Gusto. He takes his work as serious as anyone and strives to give party goers an unforgettable experience.

DJ Gusto was born Gustavo Mejia in Los Angels, California. He discovered his love for DJ'ing in the year 1995. He grew up with a family that was deeply involved in music. Between his sister and both of his parents his love for music was almost a natural. It was only a matter of time before his skills became recognized by some of the industries best artists. He honed his skills for several years, performing at parties, weddings, local clubs and eventually on the radio for Power 106. The radio exposure gained him even more recognition and before he knew it, began traveling the world. San Francisco, Miami, New York, Malaysia, Philippines and Tokyo were just some of the places he brought his music to.

One place that he loved and that loved him back was Las Vegas, Nevada. There was just something about the vibe and the energy that he really fell in love with. His popularity was no joke either as multiple clubs asked him for residencies. Vegas was not only a place for his music to be heard by an international audience, it also became a place for Gusto to meet and learn from other top DJs and further expand his musical talents. He started to mix and record his own tracks and started what became a critically acclaimed series of mash-ups. "Ape Blends" became a 15 volume collection of some of Gutso's best mashups and has made him a celebrity favorite among stars like Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera. As his popularity grew so did his musical style. His original mixes started placing high atop the dance charts and has made him a local favorite here in Las Vegas. His talents don't stop at music. Gusto, much like fellow DJ VICE, has put out his own sneaker line called 'No Requests'. Gusto said he started the line in order to combine his two loves, music and sneakers.

The sky is the limit for DJ Gusto, who finds himself headlining at multiple clubs in the area. LAX, Marquee and Pure just to name a few. Next time you are in Vegas be sure to hit up one of the many clubs that Gusto drops beats at and you will have an experience you won't soon forget.

Australian House DJ's "FeenixPawl" Take on First US Tour

Australian House DJ's "FeenixPawl" Take on First US Tour | Las Vegas Nightlife and Entertainment | Scoop.it

Up and Coming Australian DJ Duo “FeenixPawl” have seen immediate success internationally thanks to their number one single “In My Mind”. Having it nominated for Best Dance Release at the 2012 ARIA awards, and having it played consistently on EDM radio across the western world and beyond, “In My Mind” has become an instant classic and anchor with clubbers and fans of House music alike. Hailing from Melbourne Australia, the duo is riding a wave of international DJ’s making it big in the US, and we all wonder, is Australia the next promised land to produce some of the worlds best Spin Masters? Very well could be, as FeenixPawl has embarked on their first tour at some of the largest venues in the country. Even having their number one hit on a Kia Soul commercial and remixed by some heavy hitters in the electronic dance scene. With help producing “In My Mind” from Australian house music veteran Ivan Gough and singer/songwriter Georgi Kay, FeenixPawl has exploded onto the international scene.

Landing their first US tour has been a regenerating experience for Aden Forte and Josh Soon of FeenixPawl, as the two have been working together since back in 2003. Getting signed onto Axtone Records thanks to the universal appeal of “In My Mind” released in January 2012, the group is experiencing a reinvigoration and the two hope to release more hits in the coming years. But as they explain it, they aren't exactly looking to compete with themselves or other DJ’s for that matter. In an interview with Deanna Rilling of “Las Vegas Seven Magazine”, Aden Forte says “we've never been interested in trying to top “In My Mind” or replicate it, because it is what is. We’re always going to fail if we try to beat it. We’re going to try to release music that we’re happy with, that we like, and that we would listen to as house music fans. This is where we think “In My Mind” came from.”

Additionally the group is hoping after their first tour to get some kind of footing to relocate to the United States. But given their recent successes, and their pure love for house music and the EDM scene, there’s no doubt they will be considered the forerunners of the Electric Aussie Invasion of North America. The second to last stop for FeenixPawl is going to be at the “Marquee Nightclub Las Vegas”, right before “207” in San Diego. So as these sound wizards sew a following across the states and introduce more unsuspecting clubbers to their music, it’s probably in your best interest to catch them while you can. So without further ado, Head down to the “Marquee Nightclub Las Vegas” on November 17th 2012, to hit the dance floor with FeenixPawl at their first major Las Vegas Debut!

And don’t forget to check out Las Vegas’ premier nightclub pass, “The V Card” with some of the best deals and perks you can’t find anywhere else!
