It has been known for some while that Google wants to see website content that is unique and more in-depth.    Your backlinks and social networking may be fine.... but if your own website content doesn't meet requirements, your rankings may well drop.

If you thought the introduction of 'not provided' in place of non-paid search keyword information was an attempt by Google to force more use of Adwords, think again.  They're about to do the same thing to the paid search information.  


We all know this has nothing to do with security or privacy - so is it just the first or a series of 'monopolistic errors' that will eventually lead to the collapse of the Google empire?

Effective internet marketing is constantly evolving and so is people's response to it.  This substantial article is a mix of what to do and what not to do.  What it doesn't say explicitly but it's there throughout 'between the lines' is don't use social media as if it was a one-way advertising channel if you want good results.

Interesting Google blog post for what it doesn't say.  It talks about a bio at the boottom of the guest post, i.e. no mention of rel=author.  It talks about liks as if they can still be of value - a smack in the eye for those who say that extra uniue content and social signals now totally dominate Google's ranking algorithm and links are now almost irrelevant.
