This post is about using photos with Google Slides to post open-ended questions with a mathematical focus. For example: it shows one photo of six different cup sizes and asks the question: how can I get value for money?  Or how do you tell the difference between a log and a stick?
Very easy to set up and a good way to challenge yourself to see Maths everywhere!

The new tools include shifting between photos during the edit process and changing the aspect ratio of your photos.

I'm not sure how many teachers use Google Photos with your classes but you should seriously consider it. It can be added as a folder to your Google Drive and you can easily share photos with students of experiments, field trips, art work and even documents ie photos of student work.
Now Google have updated some of the editing features, it has become easier to use with some of the other applications.

Yesterday, Google held a big event to unveil new products and product updates. (Click here for a summary of everything announced). One of the update announcements that jumped out to me was the announcement that soon you will be able to create shared photo pools through Google Photos.

As I mentioned a few posts ago, I have been using Google Photos to great effect whilst on holidays. This announcement now makes it very interesting for teachers and students. It should be much easier to share photos and therefore use the pictures as evidence for learning for one group of students to share 'how-to' photos with another group.
