Anthony M Gesamondo III's insight:

I am somewhat biased in choosing this article... I feel as though I would have paid more attention in school if some of the material were presented in comic-book form. Here are four apps that can help a teacher or student create their own comic strips:

1. Make Beliefs Comic (this is free)

2. Comics Head

3. Strip Designer

4. Comic Life

Each one is reviewed.

Anthony M Gesamondo III's insight:

I am a huge advocate for the use of "Game Based Learning." Judy Willis has done a great deal of Neuroscience studies advocating the use of game-type learning to increase dopamine release in the students' brains. The "video-game" model of learning is one I employ regularly. This site not only has apps that fit the video-game model, but other useful apps for teachers and parents, ranging from apps to help with disruptive students to closing the gender-gap in computer science. This is a great site.
