Majority of parents around the world, 93.5 percent correctly recognized that their children were overweight or obese, but nearly 30 percent said they didn't see their children weight as a problem. 40 percent of parents had not yet made it to the action/maintenance stage in changing their children diets while 60 percent had not got around encouraging more physical activity. More than 40 percent of obese American kids are unaware they have a weight problems, the CDC( Center Disease Control) recently announced that. (As cited Cari Romm 2014)
