The University of Toronto is a publicly financed research university that was established in 1827 by a royal charter. Toronto University was originally named as Kings College as it was first founded. The university was hitherto handled by the Church of England, but afterwards became a royal institution and changed its name to the current one of University of Toronto.

The primary campus of the university is located on the grounds surrounding Queen’s park, a favorite tourist destination. The other two campuses are far smaller than the most important one and are located in Mississauga and Scarborough. University of Toronto has a sprawling campus of 180 acres covered with many green spaces which have formed a different area of urban parkland with its own eco system and various wildlife species of fauna and flora calling it home

Of Toronto admissions overall requirements for all pupils, who have Completed their secondary schooling outside of Canada, which can be:
1. Transcripts of secondary school documents. Submitted electronically through Parchment/Avicenna whenever possible. Documents may also be sent directly by the school or uploaded to the website. However electronic submission is suggested.
2. Results of admission tests like SAT, ACT etc. should be submitted electronically whenever appropriate
3. Transcripts of tests demonstrating English language proficiency
