My thoughts:

This article let me know many good things that I can do with the sit ups that I did not know I could do on the actually PFT. For example my feet can be held down while doing the crunch, this will improve my scores greatly. I have been doing all my crunches without them being held down. Also this let me know to other greatly important things about the crunch. One was that when coming up I only need my elbows to touch my thighs I had been going all the way up until I was touching my knees with my chin wasting alot of energy. The second being that I do not need my back to go all the way back on the ground, all I actually need to do is let my wing bones touch the ground then I can come back up. All of this will surely improve my scores.

Training my abs correctly to do this is not as complicated as I was making it. All I need to do is do 3 sets a day of as many crunches I can do while still keeping form and being fast. Another thing that will help is using an incline bench to do crunches especially with weights to make my abs stronger. This should raise my score of crunches.
