UHDTV Video Wall Paper---Ultra High Definition Decorative Entertainment
Ultra High Definition video emphasizing just that which is beautiful, by that beauty, is, indeed, visual soul food for the observant: nourishing, reflective, subjective, engaging, calming. Here are eleven useful Ultra High Definition video files, USEFUL because they are DOWNLOADABLE . Of course, you can stream them easily on the Vimeo pages. However, by DOWNLOADING THE Vimeo VIDEO FILES, you get the original file, not subject to the picture changing depending on Internet connections. YouTube ONLY allows streaming of UHD video clips; YouTube DOES NOT ALLOW DOWNLOADING THE ORIGINAL FILE. DOWNLOADING THE ORIGINAL FILE is the best way to test how purely original the video looks when stream broadcast. The eleven video clips are short documentary art clips, and they are silent, on purpose. The UHD video clips emphasize Ultra High Definition details nicely, with a lot of variety. Some say the downloaded versions of the eleven UHD test video clips , listed below, move too slow. Just double the speed, even play backwards. The movies are silent, remember. It’s all about the details and how well the demo videos show off UHD TVs. The movie clips are GREAT advertisements for UHD TVs. https://vimeo.com/54857097 https://vimeo.com/54421708 https://vimeo.com/54410376 https://vimeo.com/54317453 https://vimeo.com/54114887 https://vimeo.com/53979786 https://vimeo.com/53963662 https://vimeo.com/53712874 https://vimeo.com/53560716 https://vimeo.com/53621510 https://vimeo.com/52892170

Michael Nathan Harris's insight:

More Sony hype. The quality of Sony UHD is well known.  Much of the recent press buzz out of Sony is manipulated, canned praise, a campaign probably mounted by their Press Department intended to deflect something significant, a recent startle the leading UHD TV manufacturing brands must be facing/trying to address,  about pricing.

At CES, multiple new players introduced much lower pricing for similar quality UHD TVs, compared to equivalent Sony UHD sets, creating problems supporting Samsung's pricing models.

Indeed, although Sony's's flagship UHD models attracted  "Wows" and crowds  at  CES 2014, buyers, considering purchasing UHDs, are  Internet savvy.  Potential buyers of UHD sets  recognize the intrinsic better value that Vizio brings to the table with its 50" UHD model,  turned out with a mid level of extra features, pricing the 50" for about a $1,000.  Sony can't match that, it's already published much higher prices for its 2104 UHD TV line up, much higher pricing than competition.

After the big swell of UHD related announcements brimming around CES, a slight cloud is settling adversely in the UHD  conversation.  Netfilx's dampening projections about UHD broadcast, plus consumer sentiments around the scarcity of UHD program access,  combine.  It seems potential purchasers of UHD sets are temporizing more, hesitating UHD purchase decisions.  Perhaps the leading   brands manufacturing UHD TVs are running bogus Press Reports/YouTube videos, I believe,  as additional efforts, last minute, suspiciously PR manipulated inaccuracies, to help sell/export UHD.  A few days ago, Samsung, like Sony's stream of "news quality" hype here with reptetive videos Google keeps pulling down as advertising,  started repeating the same  Press Release,  "reporting"  a lot about "Dominance in Europe surpassing Sony" in a trumped up, unsubstantiated phantom Press Release, just a few days ago.

I recommend potential purchasers of UHD sets just cool their heels and postpone purchase until they're confident they have a strong, reliable 20 Mbit/s stream signal feed to support the highest caliber of UHD stream broadcast.  YouTube touts its UHD looks fine, using its codec, at 16 Mbit/s.  Not so.  20 Mbit/s is minimum.

Once the improved H.265 video compression codec becomes routinely adopted as the standard, UHD content will flawlessly stream, and UHD content will be as basic as Coca Cola.

So, patience be with you, buyers of UHD sets.

Samsung: 4K TVs are already a viable option

Samsung: 4K TVs are already a viable option | UHDTV Video Wall Paper---Ultra High Definition Decorative Entertainment | Scoop.it
Samsung has claimed that 4K TVs are already a viable options despite having inflated price tags and limited content.
Michael Nathan Harris's insight:

Key quote:

Although stating that 4K TVs are already a viable option, the Samsung TV head has suggested that the industry will see considerable further growth during the coming 12 months.

“I think what you will see from the range of UHD screens we will launch in 2014 is that UHD will be made accessible to more and more people,” Thakrar said.

“You will start seeing more content available and you will start seeing online streaming of UHD content, and there will be other solutions available as well.”

Thakrar’s comments clash with those made by retailer John Lewis which claim that it will be a further two years before 4K TVs are a viable option for the masses.

12 Mbit/s 4K 3840x2160p BRITISH, DOWNLOADABLE, decorative fine art print animation, circa1825

VISUAL AMBROSIA® is a new style of video entertainment created from digital art scans, not from motion picture cameras.

Michael Nathan Harris's insight:

For the story, go to  vimeo.com/53560716 .

Extremely high resolution digital scans of fine art, 19TH CENTURY ERA, prints, animated into video, entertain viewers differently. Only the scan-to-video animation process can depict these decoratively surprising, extreme zoom magnification transitions.

Viewed at 4K UHD, 3840x2160p, the effect is striking, for sure.

In this video, an arty print depicting a surprisingly photo-realistivc bouquet of crocus flowers, illustrated in the British Journal of the Royal Horticultural Society, motion graphics software amplifies the colors with modernity.

Visual Ambrosia® is a style of cognitively alluring, memorable video decoration.

Technically, digital artists produce VISUAL AMBROSIA™ movies by programming motion graphics software to animate digital scans of select, photorealistic art prints, published before the invention of color photography.

What’s new here? It’s the never-seen-before appearance of sequences of extreme zoom magnification transitions. The magnification transitions, from a macro realistic scale, into a gliding composition of abstract color layers, are the original elements, the unique entertainment value proposition of the Visual Ambrosia™ program style.

Watching Visual Ambrosia™ is a a non-scripted, subjectively idiosyncratic experience. It’s a blend of crisp focus, novel depth of field configurations, recognizable imagery, photorealism, abstraction, surprise, rhythmic video motion, symmetry and asymmetry. For many viewers inclined to appreciate graphic detail, it’s a bit more, about juxtaposition, restful color, subtle tangents, playful puzzles: meditative.

The best way to interpret this introduction is to just watch sample video clips at vimeo.com/visualambrosia pages.

Don't Be Fooled, 4K TV Is Here

There's been a lot of talk about higher resolution TVs, which would require yet another upgrade to your living room, but those extra pixels will do much more than just make pretty pictures.

Sony XBR55X850A 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD 120Hz 3D Internet LED UHDTV Black173 - YouTube

Michael Nathan Harris's insight:

4K Ultra High Definition video momentum accelerates.

Expect milestone breakthroughs soon as H.265 video compression codec softwareaccelerates/ circulates/engages/economizes video file Mb/s stream rates, Blu-Ray discs hit the stores, Netflix/Amazon follow through broadcasting UHD, and the subtle, optically enhanced appeal of UHD becomes fully acknowledged.

UHD resembles HIFi audio.  Those who listen and enjoy audible detail require HiFi.  The same goes for UHD ,.  What one sees, sees carefully, for the visual satisfactoriness  of close observation,  informs their awareness.

Watching richer UHD TV is richer; so what, the negligible higher cost per signal, compared.HD signals, seems so justified to visual purisrts.
