Construction Injuries

Injuries on the construction site are all to common, but there are ways to make sure that you and your workers stay out of the statistics of injuries.  Injuries can and do occur from the use of nail guns, improper training, and neglect of OSHA safety standards/guidelines.

In recent news, a statistic came out that one in ten MSI's (musculoskeletal injuries) are caused by construction.  Risk factor's include:  force, repetition, work posture, contact stress, and duration/magnitude.  MSI is an injury of the muscles, tendons, ligaments, etc that results by aggrivated work and or stress.

Employers need to make sure that MSI is prevented or at least reduced in the workplace.  There is a program to teach employers, which consists of 7 steps.  This program is designed to educate employers on how to keep their employees safe and productive.

Other injuries that can happen in the workplace include:  puncture wounds, broken bones, exhaustion, etc.  If you are an injured person on the job, you have legal rights, be sure to check them out!
