This article is from BBC news, so we can trust what we read in this article due to the authority that the company has from being around for so long. The findings from this article have been posted in the Journal for Ecology and Society, so that is another example of the authority that this piece has. The article also includes quotes from members of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the NGO Nordic Foundation for Development and Ecology, so we can trust what they are saying because they are educated in the field of ecology. The purpose of this article is to encourage people that just because they are not scientists, they are still able to monitor and care for our earth's tropical forests.
