The census would take place in 3 steps or stages. The first step would be taken care by the state under which the habitat (i.e. the reserve) falls; the last two would be handled by the Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun, who will be using the techniques of remote sensing and camera trapping to make the required estimations.

No more stand in line for the Indian National Parks ticket booking. Mr. M S Reddy (field director and chief conservator of forests (CCF) of Pench Tiger Reserve) states that the website Gov. in needs a domain, for this authority of the reserve has sent a request to the principal secretary of the forest department to NIC’s office in Delhi. Therefore, the online booking will be available to the tourists from the month of October when the park will reopen. Tadoba Andhari Tiger reserve (TATR) is also waiting to access the domain. Their website’s domain name is awaited from the Central Government.
