Lawrence Convention Center have been instrumental in luring additional capital, development, and trade show exhibitors to the city. Completed in 2003, the David L. Lawrence Convention Center covers 1,450,000 sq. ft. Within this space, the center features nearly 400,00 sq. ft. of  total exhibit space, a 30,000 sq. ft. ballroom, 51 meeting rooms, and two two-hundred seat lecture halls. The Center is notable for being one of the few convention centers to have obtained L.E.E.D. certification, claiming
