What’s the Difference Between Blogging and Storytelling?

What’s the Difference Between Blogging and Storytelling? | Computing topic of Ken | Scoop.it

...But what happens once everyone has caught on and businesses are blogging simply to stay healthy, kinda like eating green beans?

We’re here to be inspired, right? I mean, I’m not talking the last twenty minutes of Rudy inspired, but rather inspired to read more, and maybe buy something. We have a challenge. A question. A need or even a want. And we're looking for that moment of inspiration to help make our purchase decision easier.

Somewhere along the way of this mass information age, many forgot this. They forgot that storytelling is the main ingredient for inspiration. It’s why we cry at the end of Forrest Gump. It’s why we cheer at the end of Rocky (all six of them). It’s also why some of us buy Dunkin’ Donuts over Starbucks (or vice versa)....

I sometimes forget I should be telling a story on my blog. I think every article should be more about you, even if it means cutting down to only posting 3 times a week.

How To Improve A City: 10 Feats Of Engineering From Arup

How To Improve A City: 10 Feats Of Engineering From Arup | Computing topic of Ken | Scoop.it

Last week, Architizer and Arup put out a call for ideas to make New York City a better place for its residents and the 1 million additional people projected to arrive in the next few decades. As a follow-up, we’ve gathered a few examples of Arup projects from around the world that demonstrate the way that design can enhance everyday life in urban areas.

One, the UK's high-speed rail line from London to the Channel Tunnel, was a massive, decades-long effort that had the regeneration of a whole city sector in its goals from the outset. Others, such as a water recycling facility in a Melbourne park, are more modest in scale and scope, but present interesting models for dealing with challenges common to many cities around the world: resource constraints, housing shortages, disadvantaged neighborhoods, natural disasters, and more.

that shouldn't even be an option of theirs. Of course your information will be shared on the inernet but it's a person's right to show it or not, especially if it's being used without permission to advertise.

Google can allow to do any thing to safe guard yourself.

The fact that Google can do something like this is worrying for those people who do not wish to be found by somebody, I hope that this news as to how to opt-out makes its way across the globe quickly- Justine Pearce
