Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: The famous Christ the Redeemer statue stands on top of the 2,300 foot high Corcovado Mountain, and the best way to reach it is to take the Corcovado Tram. Tickets are 46 Reais for adults ($20 USD / €15) and 23 Reais for children ($10 USD / €7.50) between 6 and 12 years of age. This 20-minute tram journey has been taken by the likes of Princess Diana, Albert Einstein and Pope John Paul. During the journey, passengers are treated to a musical performance by a small band with musical instruments

The Corcovado tram is the fastest and easiest way to get up the Corcovado Mountain to see Christ the Redeemer. Unfortunately we missed the tram and ended up queuing for 5 hours in various queues to get to the top of the mountain!
