This website has abundance of literacy apps for children. The website breaks up the apps in six different categories print awareness apps, phonics apps, vocabulary apps, comprehension apps, spelling apps, and writing apps. So a teacher could use these apps in their classroom to incorporate technology into their curriculum; and so the children can practice all of these literacy skills.

This website would be a great tool for teachers for finding apps. All a teacher would have to do is select a category, a theme, and there is even a box to check off for free apps. The apps range from speech therapy, learning to read, and math games.

I like this website because it gives you tips on teaching children to read. They talk about teaching phonemic awareness which is one of the first steps of learning how to read. Another thing the website talks about is the need for teaching phonics. Finally it talks about using modeling to promote good reading skills.
