Did you know that "Mi Ultimo Adios" is not the actual title of the poem that Jose Rizal hid inside an alcohol stove before the day of his execution? It was actually unsigned, undated and untitled. This is just one of the discoveries I found during my last visit at Fort Santiago. Maybe it's time for you to visit it again too!

Did you know that statue in front of the Manila Cathedral is the image of King Charles IV of Spain? It was built out of gratitude of the Filipinos for the Balmis Expedition, a mission of his royal doctor to distribute smallpox vaccines to chosen countries, including the Philippines.
