What a powerful article with a very simple idea: a winning structure to use for a 15-20 minute presentation!

최근 한 연구에서 친구 수가 많은 것과 나르시시즘(Narcissism)사이의 새로운 관련성을 찾았다고 한다. Carpenter는 18~65세의 사람들 294명을 Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI)를 평가하기 위해 조사하였는데, 연구 결과 GE가 높은 사람일수록 페이스북 친구수가 많았고 그 그룹 내에서 상태 업데이트, 친구수락, 프로필 사진 변경 횟수가 높았다고 한다.

이후 샘플(Sample)질문에서도 같은 결과가 나와 나르시시즘(Narcissism)과 친구 수가 많은 것의 연관관계에 뒷받침해주었다.

 

친구를 많이 맺는 이유는 무엇일까?

친구 수가 많다는 것은 오늘날 현대사회에서 인간관계가 좋다는 뜻으로 해석되고 있기 때문이다. 

즉, 보이는 면을 중요시하는 현대사회에서 드러나는 과시적 성격이 그대로 드러난다고 볼 수 있다. 그렇기 때문에 친구 수가 나르시즘과 상당한 연관성을 가지는 것이다.

친구의 수가 많은것은 자신모습을 더 많은 사람들에게 과시하려하기 때문이라고 생각해볼 수 있겠네요

이러한 한 예로 페이스북에 마구잡이식으로 친구추가를 요청하는 사람들이라고 할 수 있겠네요?! 나르시시즘이랑 연관되는 걸 생각해보니 그들이 조금 이해가 되기도 해요. 저 또한 페이스북 초기에 친구 수에 연연했던 걸 생각해보면 말이죠.
