High Intesity interval training is not for the faint of heart! It is definitely for the ones who are determined to lose fat. This terrific article outlines the benefits of "HIIT" and its components. An example of the HIIT workout that I do includes 60 seconds of biking on a difficult gear followed by 60 seconds of easy pedaling. I do this cycle 10 times and I have myself an extremely effective workout while only using 20 minutes of my time! I win. Bye-Bye, fat.

I can't harp on it enough. Water is the basis of all LIFE! Our bodies our mostly water. Water is a key factor in immune function, energy production and brain function. The second I wake up I down 2 large glasses of water. This wakes me up, kickstarts my metabolism and primes my brain for optimal performance. Think your brain may resemble a dried up sea sponge?! Consider switching whatever beverage in your hand for a clean, crisp glass of water. Multiply that by 8 or 10 per day and you have yourself a hydrated, higher functioning system.

Nothing like the crisp, morning air in the spring and summer months. Hopefully this May weather can clear up soon so we can experience it once again! This is a short and sweet article by muscle and fitness comparing the difference between indoor and outdoor training. Obviously, the outdoors is the preferable place to take your fitness! Often time the winter months keep me cooped up indoors and the cabin fever sets in hard-core, even when I'm hitting the gym! According to this article, outdoor training is "Overwhelmingly" favored compared to indoors as a means of decreasing tension, anger, confusion and depression, while increasing those feelings for energy and revitalizations!
