Air Berlin hits new turbulence amid delisting rumors, talk of Alitalia merger | Business News | The Tourism Project | Scoop.it
According to media reports, struggling airline Air Berlin is planned to be delisted and merged with Alitalia. The move was part of an effort by Etihad Airways to raise its stake in Germany’s second biggest carrier.

Abu Dhabi-based airline Etihad Airways was planning to raise its stake in Air Berlin from currently 30 percent to 49.9 percent, German business magazine WirtschaftWoche reported at the weekend.

Part of the plan was also a buy-out of small shareholders, who currently own 38.5 percent, and delisting Germany's second largest airline from the London Stock Exchange, the magazine said, citing company sources.

Slum tourism: Patronising or social enlightenment?

Slum tourism: Patronising or social enlightenment? | The Tourism Project | Scoop.it
More tourists seek out poverty-blighted neighbourhoods when they go on holiday, to see how the poorest communities live.

D2B Marketing – Destination to Businesses Marketing

D2B Marketing – Destination to Businesses Marketing | The Tourism Project | Scoop.it

Is your destination doing as much as it can to support the travel trade? Working with and through the global travel trade is a critical part of any destinations marketing program.

There are two types of operators – those who are selling your destination and those who are not.  Your goal is to convert those who are not selling your destination yet and to support those that are, to sell more.
