H&M Launches Denim Line Made From Used Clothing

H&M Launches Denim Line Made From Used Clothing | The fashion Homepage | Scoop.it
One man's trash...
Jeanne de Mercey's insight:

This new line illustrates H&M's latest move towards #sustainability.

A lot of companies are following the conscious fashion trend and adjust their development strategies to be part of the #sustainbility story!

But what is sustainability after all? It is a multi-faceted concept meaning as well as differences to similar concepts such as sustainable development or as indicators of system integrity, functioning or well-being over extended periods of time.

Sustainability: #recyling clothes (The point here)

Sustainablitity: #recommerce (selling or buying second-hand fashion)

Sustainability:  using #organic fabrics (H&M has an organic line)

Sustainability: #conscious cumpsution (transparency)

The last aspect of sustainability  - but in my oponion one the most critical - that's missing here is the #quality that last in time....  (i.e everlane.com)

So, well done H&M! You show that you can be  sustainable without really be .... sustainable!
