This newspaper article is promoting the recitals of the poems written by the Romantic poets and saying that even all these years after the era, people are still gathering to hear the recitals - the Romantics were very much ahead of their time!

This video tells us about the romantic period in literature which helps to  better understand why the romatics wrote their poem, and what was going on during that time. It is easy to understand and a good visual tool.

Again, another outline of John Keats's context. I think that he is quite an individual Romantic poet as he didn't really like to associate with any of the other Romantic poets. I think this is special in the way that his poems brought out an individuality that couldn't be reached by the other poets

These are some of Wordsworth many famous poems. Just by looking at these we can see that he really did have a strong passion for nature and used his past experiences in creating his own works of art

This discusses the context of William Blake, especially in relation to his Songs of Innocence and experience. It emphasises that Songs of Innocence is from a childs point of view and songs of experience replies to it in a voice that is coming from a corupt perception from society

Recital of John Keats, 'Ode to a Nightingale'. How poetry is read is very important and i found that this reading really set the mood and with the background music it gave it a dark and mysterious sense to it.

This is a newspaper article stating a little bit about William Worsworth and his position in society during his life. I found it interesting that he "loved nature more than books" and this shows throughout many of his famous poems

These are some great quotes from some of the best poetry of John Keats. It is a really good website as we haven't really studied John Keats much in class and it really gave me an idea about what he like to write about and some of the subjects that his poetry looks at. From these quotes, I got the sense that he talks a lot about nature and the world around his but he also touches on Christianity and religion

In contrast to Keats, Coleridge enjoyed reading very much and throughout his childhood was always surrounded by books and always reading books. This shows that even though writing poems during the same movement, the Romantics were very different writers and individual in their own way and works

Wordsworth faced many problems and traumatic experiences throughout his life which influenced his poetry a great deal. His parents died when he was only a boy and never had a close family relationship

Blake had an interesting life and this website goes into detail about what this man went through. Blake was never very wealthy and was never truly recognised for his poems during his life. He had a very strong connection with God and saw visions of angels numerous times throughout his life, influencing what he wrote his poems about

This reading of Samuel Coleridge's 'Frost at Midnight' really helped me to understand the poem further. When the voice spoke i imagines that it was really Samuel Coleridge speaking his own poem and it really fit the the context and subject of the poem. His pauses and change of voice made it very enjoyable to listen to.
