The Right to Bear Arms

The right to bear arms is a human right, that not just every american citizen should be entitled to, but every person in the world. If this right is taken from us, then they have taken not just our right to bear arms, but our right to freedom. Without this right, the government would not have to respond to the people, because they will possess the power to fabricate laws that further constrict our right to freedom without the possibility of the people standing up to defend their rights.

The banishment of the right to bear arms will empower criminals to further carry out their atrocities because those who bare arms to defend themselves and protect their family will no longer be a threat to them. After the UK gun ban in 1997 criminality with handguns increased by 40% in the next four years, and now there's a large advocacy from citizens hoping to restore their right to bear arms. David Rooney argues that legislation doesn't restore rights only removes them. Furthermore, the effort to stand against such legislation should've been before it was passed.

Third world countries face hight rates of government corruption because the people do not have the right to bear arms, therefore, those in authority have the power to oppress citizens. Every human being should had the right to safeguard themselves and their family from anyone who would want to oppress or exploit them.

Interest in the amendment of gun politics in the UK arose from the Dunblane indicent that left 16 children and their teacher dead. Since the outlaw of handguns in 1997, United Kingdom has seen a 40% increase in handgun crimes. Under my standards this has been a failed attempt from the UK government to promote public safety.
