A telephone, not an automobile, exposed the worst parts of Ted Kennedy’s character at Chappaquiddick, a tragic episode explored on the silver screen in a new movie. One of the film’s producers commented on the picture three years ago, “You’ll see what he had to go through.” But most accounts (I have yet to watch) depict the final product as a more balanced account that shows what Mary Jo Kopechne “had to go through,” too. Kennedy’s coverup eclipsed the crime when it comes to assessing character. No amount of special effects or dramatic license can escape that truth. Sure, throwing

The Most Effective Way to Raise U.S. Wages Is to Reduce Immigration | NumbersUSA

The Most Effective Way to Raise U.S. Wages Is to Reduce Immigration | NumbersUSA | THE MEGAPHONE | Scoop.it
Is a labor shortage in American a good thing? There is no labor shortage, but there are "labor shortages" in some industries, and that is a good thing. It means the economy has improved enough that employers in certain sectors are having to increase wages and conditions in order to attract workers. That's referred to as a tightening labor market, and reducing immigration to take even more slack out of the labor market would be a great thing.

Hungary's PM "We will Fight Those Who Want to Change the Europe's Christian Identity” | THE MEGAPHONE | Scoop.it
The European Union led by France and Germany threatens with sanctions against Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia for not receiving immigrants and refugees. Hungary has taken zero immigrants since the beginning of the immigration crisis in Europe.
While countries such as France, Germany, Britain and Sweden took millions of immigrants.
Hungary has the right to defend itself by closing its borders and deporting illegal immigrants back to where they came from.
Every country has the right to defend itself, the Western world can not open its borders and provide free housing and welfare payments to millions of illega

Why the FBI Is Dodging Nunes

Why the FBI Is Dodging Nunes | THE MEGAPHONE | Scoop.it
The left used to get very worked up about the CIA’s interference in foreign elections. Liberals would quote solemnly the work of Philip Agee, a CIA turncoat who wrote articles and books about the agency’s manipulation of this or that foreign election. But these days ACLU-style liberals shrug at the meddling of John Brennan’s CIA in the 2016 American election, mischief that the FBI is still trying to conceal. It was reported recently that the FBI refuses to show Congressman Devin Nunes an unredacted copy of the origination document that triggered the probe into the Trump campaign. What is the

As our readers are likely aware, your author publishes a website aimed at a market of Southern conservatives grossly underserved by the legacy media in terms of ideology and emphasis on several core issues. In Louisiana where we’re based, we are usually the only source of information about the excesses of wasteful and corrupt government and we’re quite often the only media operation calling attention to the conservative, or Republican, or even non-statist, perspective on current events.
