He is a long term member of Pixar because he helped develop "A Bug's Life" and "Toy Story" which are some of Pixar's oldest feature films. Lasseter received a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from the California Institute of Arts.

This article describes important details about "Toy Story." "Toy Story" is important because it is the first feature film in a high grossing franchise. Creating "Toy Story" was a two year project, with only a few minutes of film being produced every week. Alot of effort was also placed into developing the script, with production of the film being halted for two months in order to work more on the story. "Toy Story" was loosely based off of one of Pixar's first short films called "Tin Toy."

This video is significant because it allows the viewer to see how Pixar's animation has changed overtime in a simple way. It shows how the logo transformed from just the word Pixar written across the screen to an actual animation that reflects the creativity that is present in its everyday films. Some of the logos display intertitles such as "Celebrating 20 Years," which help provide a rough time period of when some of the logos were created.  Overall, it reflects how the quality of Pixar's computer animation has improved overtime.

Pixar began as an animation studio that made short films such as "Red's Dream" and "Tin Toy." Overtime, it became one of the most well known animation studios with popular feature films such as "Toy Story," "Monsters Inc.," and "Finding Nemo." Pixar's "Toy Story 3" became the highest grossing animated film of all time.
